Why I went independent:
After three years at a captive agency, I kept running into the same wall, I couldn't help everyone.
Certain risks my carrier wouldn't write. When rates went up, I had no way to shop around. When the company decided to stop offering a product, like the time they put a hold on umbrella policies, my clients were out of luck and my hands were tied. And through all of it, there was constant pressure to push life insurance products regardless of what the client actually needed.
That's not the kind of agent I wanted to be.
Going independent changed everything. Now I work with over 120 top-rated carriers across personal and commercial lines. When rates go up, I shop the market. When one carrier won't write a risk, I find one that will.

I’ve spent the past three years helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate insurance with clarity and confidence. I believe insurance should feel personal, not rushed, confusing, or transactional. My goal is to be someone my clients can genuinely rely on, especially when they need guidance the most.
As an independent agent, I have the flexibility to advocate for my clients, not a single insurance company. I take pride in being responsive, honest, and thorough, doing what I say I’m going to do and making sure my clients understand their coverage so they can make confident decisions.
Outside of work, I’m a husband and a father to two young kids, and family is at the center of everything I do. I enjoy spending time with them, playing golf, and catching Minnesota Twins games whenever I can. Building my own agency allows me to better serve my community while also creating a business rooted in integrity, balance, and long-term relationships.
